Privacy
Last updated 25 October 2026. Kidrek is in a free beta, run by one person.
Kidrek helps families plan camps and care for their kids. Because that means storing details about children, here is, in plain words, what we keep, who can see it and how to have it removed.
What we keep
- Your Google account name and email address (from signing in with Google). We never see your Google password.
- Your kids’ first names, birthdates and schools, and any school dates you set.
- Your plans: the camps and care you add to the calendar, their dates and status, your notes, to-dos and any costs you type in.
- Time away you mark, camps you star as interested, your budget limit, and any posts or messages you send in the app.
Who can see it
- You and the other guardians you add.
- Families you connect with. Once a request is accepted, they can see where the kids you share are penciled in or registered: the camp, the dates and which of the two it is. That is all. Your notes, costs, any other care you add (like “Grandma week”) and time away are never shared. You can stop sharing, or hide one kid, at any time.
- Everyone else sees only a bare count. Camp pages can show “N other families interested”. It is anonymous: no names, no kids.
- We don’t sell your data, show ads or share it with advertisers.
Services that handle it
We use trusted service providers to run Kidrek. They handle your information only to provide the service, and your data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
Keeping and deleting
We keep your data while your account exists. To see what we hold, correct it, or have your account and your kids’ information deleted, contact a.williamson@kidrek.com. We will remove it, though it can take a few days and copies may linger in backups for a short time.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. There is no tracking or advertising.
Changes
If this changes in a way that matters, we will tell signed-in families before it takes effect.
